Carolyn: I sometimes ride my bike with my friends.
Teacher: And Susan, what do you do in your free time?

Susan: I’m sorry.
Carolyn: Why can’t you catch a ball?
William: I know.
Carolyn: Why?
William: She can play the piano. She can’t play ball.
Carolyn: She never plays with friends. She always plays the piano.
Susan: No, that’s not right. I often play with friends, too.
William: What friends? Are you Susan’s friend, Carolyn?
Carolyn: No, I’m not. What about you, William?
William: No, I’m not.
Carolyn: Where are your friends, Susan. We can’t see them.
Susan: Leave me alone.
William: She wants to be alone.
Carolyn: Go home and cry to Mama. Silly Susan.
